Scholarship

The Brackish Scholarship

A single OSCP exam attempt, paid for by Brackish. Open to US residents 18 and older. Apply by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 1, 2026, or sooner if we close applications early.

What the winner receives

One applicant will receive a single attempt at the OSCP exam, paid for by Brackish. The OSCP is OffSec’s certification for PEN-200.

Following the winner’s journey

We want this scholarship to be more than an exam voucher. We would like to follow the winner from the start of their preparation through to the OSCP exam.

Along the way, we will invite the winner to share their progress: the milestones they reach, the parts that are hard, and what they learn. With the winner’s permission, Brackish may feature those updates on this site and on our social media.

We hope it shows others who are interested in offensive security what earning the OSCP actually takes.

Taking part is voluntary, but we hope the winner will share their experience with the security community.

Send one email to scholarship@brackish.io by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 1, 2026. One application per person. We reserve the right to close applications early, depending on how many we receive. Include the following:

Subject line: Brackish Scholarship – your full name.
Your résumé as an attachment — PDF only. Not a Word or Pages file, and not a link to a résumé hosted somewhere else.
A link to a short video introducing yourself, two minutes or less. Tell us who you are and why you want to work in offensive security. Host it wherever you like: YouTube, Vimeo, or your own site. Unlisted is fine. Before you send it, open the link in a private browser window to check it plays without signing in. Google Drive and Dropbox links often fail that check.
A line confirming that you are 18 or older, live in the United States, and are authorized to work in the United States.

Choosing a winner

We will email the winner by December 31, 2026, then announce the winner on LinkedIn and on this page. Only the winner is contacted directly.

What you send is used only to run this scholarship. The privacy policy covers how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
